Responsibilities

– Perform duties assigned by the Manager and senior Electrical Engineer, and ensure all duties are undertaken within the required timeframe.

– Prepare concept, basic, and detailed design drawings in Auto CAD EE or in Revit EE, ensuring that the design is undertaken in accordance with local codes and international standards.

– Undertake all necessary design calculations and analysis along with schematic diagrams and select appropriate equipment size.

– Liaise with the project architects, other engineering disciplines, sub-consultants and clients as required.

– Undertake site visits as required.

– Ensure that all drawings are reviewed and checked before external submission.

– Assist the Manager and senior Electrical Engineer in producing the design specifications, design reports and to finalize all design calculations as required.

– Ensure that the Company’s design procedures and professional standards/rules are applied within the team and ensure compliance with all procedures.

– Liaise with contractors and undertake site inspection duties as required.

– Propose technical innovations to the Senior Electrical Engineer to improve the design.

– Assist the Manager, Senior Electrical Engineer in preparing equipment & material quantity take-off and cost estimates from the design.

– Prepare equipment & material-technical schedules and submit them to the Senior Electrical Engineer for review and validation.

Qualifications

– Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering.

– Be a licensed Electrical Engineer or be eligible to become a licensed Electrical Engineer.

– At least 7 years of experience with postgraduate experience.

– Previous experience working within an Engineering consulting environment, with a clear focus on design experience.

– Ability to self-manage billable hours and ability to undertake own work with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy.

– Intermediate knowledge of design software about MEP design, including AutoCAD and Revit, and MS Office software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project & Access.

– Intermediate knowledge of International Building Codes and Design Standards, including environmental building standards (LEED and similar).

– Good command of written and spoken English.
